The romantic vaulted cellar with adjoining beer garden in the former monastery of Marienthal serves regional and seasonal dishes from the kitchen of master chef Uwe Steiniger. The dishes are freshly prepared; in the traditional way. For family celebrations and anniversaries smaller and larger rooms are available.

The food was very good, despite a different menu as stated on the internet. Klosterbier very recommendable, overall very good ambience. The only point of criticism is that we didn't have to fill out a data sheet despite being asked, we were a bit surprised.

We went to Marietthal on Sunday to eat in the internet. But there are dishes in it that weren't available on Sunday. The internet pages should be updated what there was was good.! The salad was with ready-made sauce. Otherwise the food was Well.

Great atmosphere, nice waitresses. Unfortunately the fish stinks from the head. Agreements are not kept, the guest doesn't seem to take important things seriously.

We recently celebrated in the monastery restaurant with 25 guests in this beautifully situated place and in a VERY large room with a terrace - we couldn't imagine anything better. The people there are super friendly, natural and created a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for us. At the next big birthday in 10 years we will be there again;)

We had a fantastic evening in the monastic vaulted cellar. The extremely friendly and excellently organized team showed professionalism in everything. The food was on point and left no criticism. Delicious, warm and tasted great. All guests of our company were full of praise. We can only recommend the monastery gastronomy.

Main course was good, appetizer not. To complain was not the food but the service! Drink order, no indication! Clear glasses from the table Service was not available with the young inexperienced staff. Pity!!

REALLY A VERY NICE RESTAURANT ...... SORRY WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR ALL OUR DRINKS ..... OTHER GUESTS HAVE EVEN GONE THEN. WE DIDN'T ORDER ANYTHING TO EAT ..... A FAMILY WITH CHILDREN WAS WAITING FOR YOUR FOOD FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS. Pity ...... SOMETHING MORE COMPETENT WAITERS WOULD BE WELL
